Vuch Shield is the risk module of the Vuch platform: a real-time engine that monitors transaction velocity, raises AML signals, detects market manipulation and wash trading, scores risk per user and per event, and drives an alert escalation pipeline from detection through administrator review to automated blocking. It is built into the platform's infrastructure — it consumes the same event stream and atomic ledger that the wallet, markets and casino modules write — rather than operating as an external service fed by exports.

The design principle: compliance that lives outside the transaction path can only describe problems; compliance that lives inside it can stop them. Shield lives inside it.

Every threshold behind these controls — velocity bounds, AML triggers, dominance shares, detection windows — is a configuration parameter, tuned per jurisdiction during deployment. Vuch does not publish exact values, and advises operators not to either: precise detection thresholds are sensitive information whose disclosure makes controls easier to circumvent.

The alert pipeline

Shield's operating model is a pipeline, and it is worth reading left to right because each stage has an owner:

Event stream → risk score calculation → alert level assignment
      → administrator queue → escalation → automated block or incident resolution
  • Event stream. The platform's event bus carries 47 event types — trades, game rounds, deposits, withdrawals, account actions. Shield consumes all of it; nothing financially relevant happens off-stream.
  • Risk scoring. Events are scored in real time against the deployment's configured policies, building per-user and per-event risk pictures.
  • Alert levels. Scores that cross policy bounds become alerts with assigned severity levels, so the queue triages itself.
  • Administrator queue. Alerts land in the admin panel's Risk & Alerts section for incident monitoring and case handling by your compliance team.
  • Escalation. Unresolved or high-severity incidents escalate per the deployment's escalation levels.
  • Automated blocking or resolution. The pipeline ends in action: automated blocking where policy dictates, or documented resolution of the case. Every step is recorded, giving each incident a complete audit trail.

Risk coverage across both products

Because the platform runs prediction markets and casino on one wallet, Shield watches one financial stream instead of two silos — and that changes what it can see.

Trading integrity on prediction markets

Prediction markets carry manipulation risks that classic gambling products do not. Shield's two market-specific controls address them structurally: dominance control monitors the concentration of volume per participant per market, flagging attempts to move a price or corner an outcome; wash-trading detection identifies self-matching and circular patterns designed to fake volume or launder value through trades. Both operate within configurable windows and bounds set per jurisdiction — critical, because the regulatory framing of prediction markets itself differs per market and the appropriate policy follows from that framing.

Money movement across the wallet

Velocity monitoring and AML signals operate at wallet level, which means they see the user's whole financial behavior — deposits, trading flow, casino play and withdrawal attempts as one sequence. Rapid deposit-to-withdrawal pass-throughs, anomalous operation bursts and structured movement patterns surface as scored signals regardless of which product the funds touched in between. Withdrawals additionally pass manual moderation in the Finance section, with Shield's signals displayed beside each request.

Configured per jurisdiction, by design

There is no universal compliance policy in this industry, and Shield does not pretend otherwise. Every deployment configures:

  • Detection thresholds for velocity, AML, dominance and wash-trading controls;
  • Alert levels and escalation paths matching the operator's team structure;
  • Automated-blocking policies — which severities act automatically and which require a human;
  • Market-specific posture for prediction markets, reflecting each jurisdiction's legal treatment of event trading.

This configuration work is a defined part of the white-label deployment process — baseline risk policies are established in the first phase and the alert pipeline is tuned during pre-launch testing.

What Shield is not

Honest scope, because risk tooling attracts overclaiming:

  • It is not a replacement for your compliance function. Shield automates detection, triage and evidence; your compliance officers make judgment calls and own the regulator relationship.

Technical notes

Shield runs as the platform's dedicated risk service — one of twelve microservices — consuming the Redis-based event bus and writing its findings back as events and admin-queue state.
